Heartburn Symptoms

Heartburn is an uneasiness that is usually felt after having heavy food or some liquid items. Excessive smoking is also a reason for this disease. One need not worry if they are suffering from heartburn. But when the symptoms are persisting for a long time, then it is advisable to go to doctor. Commonly noted symptoms of this disease are irritating sensation near the throat and neck, nausea, stomach ache, acid taste in tongue, abdomen pain, shoulder pain, neck pain while swallowing, etc. It has been found that a person gets affected by this discomfort when they are emotionally upset. The reason for this disease is accumulation of acid near the neck that comes back from the stomach.

There are many preventive measures that one could follow in order to avoid this disease. They are as follows. One should not smoke while they are eating. This may lead to in take of unwanted gas. Gas containing food and liquid must be avoided. Vegetables such as cucumber, beans, onion, etc must not be consumed more. Eating from outside shop must be avoided. It is advisable to go for a walk and exercising daily. But it is not advisable to exercise after heavy meals. Chewing gum before having food may also lead to accumulation of gas inside stomach. Food must be chewed well and then only swallowed. Consumption of alcohol along with food must be avoided. Main thing that is needed to get rid of heartburn is to maintain a proper and healthy diet.
